A chapter in the history of the Exploratorium will becoming to an end soon, as they pack up and move to Pier 15/17. Before they close, you still have plenty of opportunities to experience and explore the Exploratorium in the gorgeous, one-of-a-kind Palace of Fine Arts.

During the holiday season and New Year the Exploratorium will observe the following hours:

The Exploratorium will be open to the public for special hours on Monday, December 24, 2012 (Christmas Eve) from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. We will be closed on Tuesday, December 25, 2012 (Christmas Day).

We will be open daily from Wednesday, December 26 – Wednesday, January 2, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Exploratorium’s final day at the Palace of Fine Arts is Wednesday, January 2, 2013 – and admission is free! Join us as we celebrate and say goodbye to our beloved Palace of Fine Arts home, and be there for the final bell ringing at the close.

Please note: A new public parking area is open on Mason Street in the Presidio. A pedestrian path connects this parking lot to the Palace of Fine Arts, including a signalized crosswalk across the Marina Boulevard connection to Doyle Drive. Please see the map for the location of the new parking area and pedestrian path.

Look for us at our new location at Pier 15, on San Francisco’s Embarcadero – opening day is April 17, 2013!

Although we are sad to see them leave the Palace of Fine Arts, we can't wait to visit them at Pier 15/17 in the spring!
