LarkCreekSteak—More than Just a Steakhouse
By: Rand Hardy
In the heart of the Westfield San Francisco Centre, located on fifth and market, LarkCreekSteak features a deliciously diverse menu from seafood dishes to prime steaks. Since opening in 2006, this modern steakhouse has been providing diners with great food and service all within close proximity of Union Square, the major theaters of San Francisco and Moscone Center.
LarkCreekSteak has one of the best happy hours in town from 4:00-6:30 pm Sunday through Friday. The bartenders offer a nice variety of classic cocktails and interesting signature creations, and the bar features an extensive 250+ wine list in addition to a nice collection of beer (both on tap and bottled). The stylish, lively ambiance makes this the perfect after-work destination.
The Man Behind Lark Creek Steak: Ismael Macias
A native of Rosarito Beach, Mexico, Ismael Macias got his start at One Market Restaurant as a dish washer, eventually working his way up the ladder to sous chef, and in 2010 made the breakthrough to head chef of LarkCreekSteak. Ismael worked under One Market Restaurant’s Chef Mark Dommen for eight years and learned a lot about using local, sustainable, fresh foods. He has now been with Lark Creek Restaurant group for twelve-years and continues to push out innovative and delicious dishes.
LarkCreekSteak is participating in Dine About Town June 1-15 for both lunch and dinner Monday-Sunday. This is a perfect opportunity to check out what Ismael Macias and his team have to offer. Make your reservations today!
