The Man Behind Lark Creek Steak: Ismael Macias

A native of Rosarito Beach, Mexico, Ismael Macias got his start at One Market Restaurant as a dish washer, eventually working his way up the ladder to sous chef, and in 2010 made the breakthrough to head chef of LarkCreekSteak. Ismael worked under One Market Restaurant’s Chef Mark Dommen for eight years and learned a lot about using local, sustainable, fresh foods. He has now been with Lark Creek Restaurant group for twelve-years and continues to push out innovative and delicious dishes.
