From exercises in coordination and harmonious movement in the grade school, Eurythmy blossoms into a breathtaking performing art in the high school and beyond pure poetry in motion! This public performance by the San Francisco Youth Eurythmy Troupe, directed by Astrid Thiersch, is an enchanting spectacle of movement, color, and light, performed to music and the spoken word. The program includes a Chinese folk tale, The Spring of Butterflies; verses by Lao Tzu, Nelson Mandela, and Rudolf Steiner; poems about animals; music by Beethoven, Prokofiev, and Satie; humoresques, and more! The program is appropriate for all ages.
