Attending a festival is one of the best things to do in San Francisco. On May 27, 2012, the Golden Gate Bridge celebrates its 75th anniversary with a fireworks show and citywide Golden Gate Festival, taking place in districts such as Fisherman’s Wharf and the Presidio. Other top festivals include Earth Day, San Francisco Carnaval, Haight-Ashbury Street Fair, Fillmore Jazz Festival, Gay Pride and North Beach Festival.
For a more intimate setting, you can enjoy cabaret entertainment at the famous RRazz Room, located in the Hotel Nikko. The venue also hosts soul, R&B and pop performances. The Peña Pachamama is a magical oasis of great food, from traditional Bolivian dishes to raw-living organic food, as well as a favorite place to enjoy music and dance performances five nights a week.
If you’re looking for laughs, head to the Punch Line, San Francisco’s longest-running comedy club, located in the Financial District. Stars such as Robin Williams, Ellen Degeneres, Rosie O'Donnell, Drew Carey, Chris Rock and Dana Carvey performed their first shows on the Punch Line stage. Cobb’s Comedy Club in North Beach is another top comedy venue, welcoming nationally famous entertainers for over 30 years.
