Jan. 3, 2012 - Dine About Town San Francisco returns for the eleventh year January 15 – 31, 2012 and to celebrate, the San Francisco Travel Association (San Francisco Travel) is hosting a launch party January 12 at City View at Metreon, 101 4th St. in San Francisco beginning at 6 p.m. Participating restaurants will provide tastes from their Dine About Town menus and guests will have the opportunity to sample wines from the Bay Area and beyond.
Ticket prices are $40 and all proceeds will benefit San Francisco Meals on Wheels. Tickets may be purchased online at www.dineabouttown.com/launch. Guests must be 21 years or older and space is limited.
Participating restaurants will be announced closer to the event date. Please note that the participating restaurant list is subject to change.
Guests will also enjoy music by DJ Jamon Iberico and receive a keepsake San Francisco wine glass.

Dine About Town San Francisco allows diners the opportunity to select from more than 100 participating restaurants offering a two-course lunch menu for $17.95 and/or a three-course dinner menu for $34.95. This pricing can represent up to a 25 percent savings off regularly priced a la carte items. New restaurants to participate in the January 2012 promotion will be announced closer to the program date.
"Year after year, Dine About Town has succeeded in achieving its primary goal -- to increase restaurant revenue during a two-week time period after the holidays which was identified by our partners to typically be slow,” states Joe D'Alessandro, San Francisco Travel president and CEO. “Now in its eleventh year, we are proud to recognize the 10 restaurants that have participated in Dine About Town since 2002 as well as welcome those that are participating for the first time in 2012.”
Dates and times of participation vary by restaurant. A la carte menus will also be available. Reservations are encouraged and may be made online through a partnership with OpenTable.com.
