The U.S. Travel Association’s “Vote Travel” bus tour will stop in San Francisco on Wednesday, April 18 at 9:00 am for a photo opportunity at City Hall. San Francisco Board of Supervisors President David Chiu, Board of Supervisors members and travel industry executives and employees will be present to welcome the bus.
San Francisco Travel, the Hotel Council of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Restaurant Association are planning a 15-20 minute media availability beginning at approximately 9:15am on the day of the event. The location is 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place, San Francisco. The bus will be parked on Polk Street between McAllister and Grove streets.
The event will also offer a lively opportunity for travel industry employees, community representatives and the public to meet, tour the customized bus, take photos and receive a free “Vote Travel” t-shirt.
U.S. Travel launched the national bus tour in Washington, DC on March 21, and will travel more than 20,000 miles, making 37 stops in destinations such as Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, Las Vegas and others. The bus tour aims to boost the visibility of the travel industry during the 2012 election year. As a part of its “Vote Travel” campaign, America’s travel industry is hitting the road and campaigning to create more U.S. jobs, improve the travel process, make America more competitive globally and keep the business and meetings industry thriving.
