Join San Francisco in the Citywide civic celebration to honor the acclaimed, award-winning singer Tony Bennett whose signature song “I Left My Heart in San Francisco” was recorded 50 years ago. The free public tribute with Tony Bennett will take place on Valentine’s Day, Tuesday, February 14, 2012, at noon in the City Hall Rotunda. The ceremony will conclude with a city-wide sing along of the famed San Francisco tune. San Franciscans are encouraged to stop what they are doing and sing along to “I Left My Heart in San Francisco” from office buildings, parks, sidewalks or where ever they are in the City.

Westfield San Francisco Centre will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Tony Bennett’s recording of “I Left My Heart in San Francisco” this Valentine’s Day by playing the famous ballad under the building’s historic dome. As San Francisco prepares for a citywide sing-along at  noon, Westfield San Francisco Centre invites visitors to dance in the spectacular setting provided by the Centre’s 102-foot glass dome. After a twirl around the impromptu dance floor, stop by one of the Restaurants Under the Dome for a special lunch or indulge your sweet tooth at Cako, Godiva Chocolatier, or Coca Bella Chocolates.

The Fairmont San Francisco, where Tony Bennet debuted “I Left My Heart in San Francisco” in the Venetian Room, will offer a special Blue Angel Vodka “Bennettini” in its Laurel Court Restaurant & Lounge.
