The weekend is here and we have something old, something new and something you'll never experience anywhere else. Actually our top three for the weekend encompass all of that.
Ethnic Dance Festival
This weekend marks the second weekend of the 35th Annual Ethnic Dance Festival. Through dance, they aim to honor the legacies of the ethnic cultures and pass down knowledge onto the next generation. Come out to the Yerba Buena Gardens different kinds of dances from Mexico, Nepal, Peruvian, Balinese and many more. All dance information can be found here: http://www.worldartswest.org/main/home.asp
North Beach Festival
Come on out to North Beach this weekend to discover what the neighborhood is all about. Now in it's 59th year, he 2013 festival will feature over 125 arts and crafts booths, 20 gourmet food booths, two stages of live entertainment, Italian street painting, beverage gardens, kid’s chalk art area and the blessing of the animals. Over the two days, North Beach becomes the epicenter of the city as thousands of festival goers overtake Washington Park.
Film Night in the Park: Raiders of the Lost Ark
Pull up a lawn chair, bring your favorite picnic items and sit back and relax in your favorite park as you want, arguably, the best Indiana Jones movie of the Franchise. Every summer Film Night in the Park puts on free outdoor movies in parks throughout San Francisco and the Bay Area, so if you miss this one, there will be plenty more. Check out the full schedule.
