As part of the Pinot Classic, several events will showcase the region’s most premier wines. One May 24 at 6 PM, The Paulée Dinner presents the best wines the winemakers of the Russian River Valley – and the guests – have to offer. Vintners will present their personal favorite wines, while guests may share their special bottles. The evening includes a winemaker reception and a delectable feast prepared by Chef Michou Cornu, Boisset Family Estates. Hosting wineries: Arista. On May 24 & 25 from 11AM-4 PM, Passport to Pinot offers barrel tasting opportunities from more than 35 wineries throughout the Valley, many featuring special vintages and offerings for the occasion. On May 24 at 10:00 AM, an expert panel will lead a Neighborhoods Seminar, educating participants on the nuances of three regions within the Russian River Valley AVA. From the soil to techniques used and interpretation of each wine, the differences between the neighborhoods will be illustrated with tasting comparisons led by the panel of winemakers, growers and media.
